Spanish word of the day: Valle

valle..pronounced bayay...people say it like no other here. And not only do they say it they yell it. So i think i have found 4 definitions of it so far but im still confused. I know it means okay, or do you understand?, or i understand, or shutup/be quiet. But it is always said in the same voice/pitch. So i never know if my mom is yelling at me to shut up, asking if i understand?, or agreeing with me. Usually i can figure this out because ofcourse of the context but when i do not know whats going on..gets a little confusing.
